Behind the Lens: Meet Rume Tia

I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Theatre Arts and Film Production from Redeemer’s University, where I now serve as an assistant to the professor. My days are filled with learning, teaching, and crafting stories that linger long after the credits roll.

But FigureSpur is a personal vision. It’s the spark that brings everything I love together: photography, writing, and the beautiful, messy truth of being human. I run a photo lab, rent out photography and film equipment, and produce skits and short films, most of which are written and directed by me.

Yet, there’s a deeper layer to all this creativity.

​

As someone who knows the quiet battles of mental health from the inside, I’ve decided to use my voice and this platform to build something bigger: a space where others can speak freely, share openly, and feel a little less alone. Through my blog, MindSpur, and the community forum, In Focus Together, I want to open the door to honest conversations and collective healing.
